GfK TravelScope: The information system

With GfK TravelScope the  vacation travel behavior (vacation journeys taken) and the intentions to travel (planned vacation travel) of Germans are continuously examined.

 

GfK TravelScope is an information system that supplies information on the German population’s planned and undertaken private vacation journeys – both tour operated and individual travel. GfK TravelScope is unique in Germany since surveys are able to be conducted that are fast, reasonably priced, and moreover in particularly high quality. With GfK TravelScope we continuously monitor the vacation travel behavior of a good 45,000 selected persons / 20,000 households that are representative of  the German population. Since in this long-established sample we know the traveling history and vacation behavior in great detail, we can, in particular for surveys of specific topics and target groups, recruit survey respondents of the highest quality at a reasonable cost  and therefore base the respective analyses on a sufficiently large sub-sample. For every journey a great deal of detailed data are surveyed that are then linked to the existing socio-demographic, psychographic, media and target-group profiles.
