The panel participants are asked to answer the following questions:
What item was purchased? What was the name of the brand?
In which store was the product purchased?
What price was paid?
Was that a normal or a promotion price?
Along with the above information several product-specific features such as DIN (German standards) formats are surveyed. Also of interest are questions regarding purchase motivation, an aspect that only a consumer panel can cover:
Who is the main user of the item?
In what area is the item used?
Is more attention paid to quality, the manufacturer, or the price?
