The GfK MobilityMonitor collects commuter trips, business and private trips with and without accommodation as well as vacation trips with at least one overnight stay.
A sample of 45,000 persons out of 20,000 representative German households are queried relates to a base of 64.8 m German persons over 14 years.
Data collection takes place in written form, and in 4 survey modules. Both online surveys and postal surveys are executed. Data is continuously collected and evaluated by classical panel samples.
Furthermore, the GfK MobilityMonitor provides information about socio-demography, family life world, lifestyle, micro-geography, use of media and internet.
The 20,000 representative households build a fixed sample. That means a bulk of these households answers our questionnaires continuously over years. Thereby we have also the ability to offer analyses that are designed for predefined target groups.
The observation of the same households over periods allows analyses about movements (f.e. in regard to methods of transportation).
Comprehensive socio-demographic, psychological and micro-geographic information as well as detailed information about the use of media and internet (MA-standard) for every household is available.
The combination with media data and micro-geography allows to create target group specific marketing plans (both national – TV, print, radio, internet - and regional – tourist office, direct marketing).
