GfK MobilityMonitor – The comprehensive database for mobility behaviour

What is the GfK MobilityMonitor?

The GfK MobilityMonitor is a survey method that collects and provides comprehensive information about mobility behaviour in Germany within the GfK consumer panel.

Which kind of information is collected?

The GfK MobilityMonitor collects information about business trips, commuter trips, day and vacation trips of Germans. Besides these attributes, the interviewees report on destination, distance, cause for travelling and the means of transportation. This variety of attributes allows a detailed review of German mobility behaviour.

How to collect data?

The base of data collection is the GfK consumer panel which refers to a classical sample of 20,000 representative households which are continuously surveyed about their consumer behaviour in different sections. This method of collecting data allows the combination of current mobility data and data about travel behaviour in the past as well as general information about socio-demography, use of media and micro-geography.
