Insights into the German market for donations

Donations are important in Germany. Whether monetary donations or donations of food, clothing, etc., or even honorary activities: every year donations amounting to billions are directed to public interests and emergency aid programs through charity organizations. With the consumer panel GfK CharityScope GfK casts light on all the facets of the German market for donations. For this purpose, the participants record their donations month for month in a diary. Among other things the date of the donation, the amount donated, and the recipient of the donation, that is, the charitable organization (e.g., German Red Cross, Bread for the World, etc.) are surveyed.
