The ConsumerScope Household Panel

The ConsumerScope Household Panel is a sample consisting of 20,000 net households representative of private German households. As a household panel it is exceptionally well-suited to illuminate the total situation of a household, whereby it is usually the head of the household who supplies information on the purchases of all members of the household with regard to household furnishings, acquisition plans, and so on. For some investigative approaches, e.g. usage studies, media consumption or post-purchase surveys, the individual members of the household can be directly enlisted. At present, the panel participants still report mainly in writing, that is they receive purchase diaries and questionnaires in the mail and return them regularly on a monthly basis. For special studies the panel participants can also be contacted outside the monthly rotation, also by telephone or online. The panel can also be split into structurally similar representative samples that make smaller sample sizes and wave studies possible.
