In this area the household purchases of the above-mentioned products are reported on and analyzed.

Special feature:
Since purchases of baby-care products are mainly made by households with children up to four years of age, these purchases are recorded in a special panel, the baby panel. This baby panel currently consists of 3,000 households with babies aged 0-48 months.
 
In this connection a distinction is made between the following partial markets, among others:

  • Baby diapers
  • Baby towels

 

From the data information is gained that clarifies the following questions, among others:

  • How important is Aldi in the market for diapers?
  • From which diaper brands does a new introduction profit? Where do the gains come from?
  • What other products do my customers buy alongside mine?
  • What is the relevant set?
  • What package size develops most successfully?
  • How strong is the bond between my buyers and the brand?
